Secure data and transparent regulations

For a service company, it is of particular importance to do justice to the trust of customers, business partners and employees and to ensure safe and sensitive handling of their data.

Therefore the following principles apply:

  1. We consistently implement the legal regulations on data protection
  2. We follow the international standards of information security.
  3. Our privacy policy is transparent to all concerned.

1 Purpose of the Directive

The right to privacy is a constitutional fundamental right. Everyone has a right to secrecy of their personal data, especially with regards to their private and family life. Customers, business partners and employees trust us to handle their data with care.

As a service provider, the reputation and image of ITP Sprachschule depends to a special extent on the legally conform and secure handling of personal data. The personal data we process includes, in particular, master data, location data, content data and employee data.

2 Scope

This policy is binding for all employees of ITP Sprachchule e.U. and applies to the handling of all personal data, in particular data of customers, business partners and employees.

3 Lawful data processing

The processing of personal data is only lawful if at least one of the following conditions is met:

  1. The person concerned has given their consent.
  2. The processing of the data is necessary for the purpose of pre-contractual work or fulfillment of the contract.
  3. Processing is regulated or permitted by law.

Only employees who have been explicitly entrusted with the collection, processing or use of certain personal data are authorized to do so in the course of their work.

It is strictly forbidden for any employee to use personal data for private purposes or to make it accessible to unauthorized persons.

4 Transmission of personal data

The transfer of personal data to third parties requires a legal basis.

This may arise from contractual obligations to the person concerned or from their consent. However, adequate data protection and information must be agreed and signed with the recipient prior to the transfer.

The transmission to state institutions and authorities takes place exclusively on the basis of relevant legislation.

5 Type of processed data

When signing a study contract, the personal data (name, address and telephone number) will be stored and processed in our course management system.

Furthermore, we record the language level of the language to be learned, the language target and the content to be taught.

Employees may only receive this data according to the need-to-know principle, which means that only employees have access to this data if they need it for the orderly performance of their work.

6 Collection of personal data when visiting our website

In the case of merely informative use of the website, e.g. if you do not register or otherwise provide us with information, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. If you wish to view our website, we collect the following data which is technically necessary for us to inform you about our website and to ensure its stability and security (legal basis is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. DSGVO):

  • IP address
  • Date and time of the request
  • Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
  • Content of the request (concrete page)
  • Access Status / HTTP status code
  • Each transferred amount of data
  • Website from which the request comes
  • Browser
  • Operating system and its interface
  • Language and version of the browser software.

7 Use of cookies

In addition to the aforementioned data, cookies are stored on your computer when using our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive, assigned to the browser you are using, and that provide certain information to the body that sets the cookie. Cookies can not run programs or transmit viruses to your computer. They serve to make the Internet service more user-friendly and effective overall.

This website uses the following types of cookies, the scope and operation of which are explained below:

  • Transient cookies (see a.)
  • Persistent cookies (see b.).

a. Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close the browser. These include in particular the session cookies. These store a so-called session ID, with which various requests from your browser can be assigned to the common session. This will allow your computer to be recognized when you return to our website. The session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.

b. Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period, which may differ depending on the cookie. You can delete the cookies in the security settings of your browser at any time.
